HISTORY OF SAN FRANCISCO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
It started like a dream-a dream of establishing a community high school thatwill cater to the educational needs of thr people, particularly the poor populaace of Barangay Poblacion, Caawayan II, Inabuan, Silongin and other nearby barangay. A dream long conceived by a group of people in the 4 District of San Francisco-the District Supervisor Pacita C. Aguila, Master Teacher I and President of San Francisco Public School Teachers Association Rosalinda R. Villanueva, Master Teacher Liaison II Rosalie V. Navarro and Liaison Officer Erlinda Orola sometime in 1993, a dream of having a high school that will ba of service to the poor but intelligent graduates of Aurora Elementary Shool main and Aurora Elementary School central Annex I instilled in the minds and hearts of the above group.
Strongly motivated and inspired by the desired to have a Public School in the Community, the District Supervisor had a dialogue with the director III of Region IV,-Dr. Belen H. Magsino who assured her of full assistance as there is a school site with donation papers and a temporary school building constructed in the school site and at least 70 first year student-enrollees.
With the kind assurance of the Director III and probably guided by the Holy Spirit, the District Supervisor had always been positive that the dream- high school would eventually be a reality.
In February 1994 during tyhe organizational meeting of the 1st Grand Alumni Homecoming of Aurora Elementary School held in the Central School Compound; a very good doctor philanthropist, Dr. Senen R. Villanueva, an alumnus of that said school confirmed his desire to donate one hectares of land for the proposed Community High School on condition that the school will be named after his beloved father Marcial B. Villanueva Sr. National High School also reiterated his willingness to donate one oor two hectares more for an agricultural or trade school.
In May 1994, the energetic Mr. Erwin Q. Villanueva, treasurer of the Sangguniang Barangay Cawayan I and his group dropped at the office of the District Supervisor requesting assistance in establishing a community high school in Barangay Cawayan I which is more than two kilometers away from the Poblacion. The District Supervisor assured him of all assistance that could be gevin by the DECS,Doctrict of San Francisco. BACK TO HOMEPAGE
